  2. Assault on a traffic officer: Getting into a physical altercation with a traffic officer could get you fined the sum of 100,000 Naira.
  3. Exceed speed limit: The fine for exceeding the set limit on both inner roads and highways is 100,000 Naira.
  4. Dangerous driving: If you are caught driving recklessly, you will be fined 50,000 Naira.
  5. Rejection of accident victims by medical personnel or hospitals: Denying medical services to a victim of an accident can attract a fine of 50,000  Naira.
  6. Inadequate construction warning:  If there is any sort of construction on the road, without the proper warnings, they will be charged 50,000 Naira.
  7. Carrying more than one passenger on a motorcycle: Any motorcycle operator who carries more than one passenger can be fined the sum of 50,000 Naira.
  8. Riding against traffic: If you are caught with a motorcycle and riding it on the curb, or against traffic, you will be fined 50,000 Naira and if you are a repeat offender, you pay 100,000 Naira.
  9. Wrongful overtaking: When you overtake at the wrong places, such as on bridges, bent corners, etc, you can be penalized and charged 50,000 Naira.
  10. Driving on the walkway: A lot of people drive on pedestrians’ walkways during heavy traffic, but if you are caught, you can be made to pay up to 50,000 Naira in fines.
